I wish I didn’t know nowwhat I didn’t know thenBy Andrew W. CoyAmerican ThinkerJanuary 23, 2021I sure wish I had not learned so much over the last five years. In retrospect, five short years ago seems almost like Mayberry. Here are some important things that I didn’t know five years ago or now:· There actually is a Deep State, and those who constitute it really do not honor the election results or the will of the people.· There really appear to be lawless elements within the upper echelons of the FBI, CIA, and NSA who are not accountable for their crimes and are thus above the law.· The fourth branch of government, the bureaucracy, really is unaccountable to the “unwashed masses.”· Many of our top military command, along with many in the military-industrial complex, don’t always hate wars. There’s a lot of money and many promotions to be made during a time of war. The last four years saw no new wars and even troops coming home. For some, that is bad for business.· Nineteen Eighty-Four and Animal Farm are no longer works of fiction, but prophecies.· George Orwell was righter than Nostradamus.· The news media centers of New York City and Washington, D.C. are not neutral arbitrators of the truth; rather, they uncomfortably resemble TASS and Pravda from the Soviet Union days.· The old robber barons like Rockefeller, Carnegie, and J.P. Morgan are starting to look a whole lot better compared to the new robber barons like Dorsey, Zuckerberg, and Bezos.· The United States Supreme Court would actually refuse to hear a legitimate case because it was frightened of violence.· The left insists on conflating and equating evangelical Christians with White supremacists. This should terrify the Christian community.· Words such as mom, dad, aunt, uncle, brother, and sister are now not words of love and respect but considered politically incorrect verbiage in Congress.· Censorship, the cancel culture, and becoming a nonperson come from the left, not the right.· The left, not the right, actually is going to try to deny citizens’ rights afforded to all in the Bill of Rights.· Violence from the left is regarded as free speech and noble, while violence from the right is classified as sedition and felonious by powerful institutions.· It really is not Republicans vs. Democrats, but globalists vs. nationalists.· The new McCarthyism, blacklists, history re-writers, and re-education camps are coming from the left, not the right.· Fences and barriers are a good thing for our nation’s capital but somehow a bad thing for our nation’s borders.· Our Founding Fathers of yesteryear would be called “domestic terrorists” by some today.· Presidential elections really can be stolen by corrupting just a handful of precincts in just a handful of states.· Calling into question the validity of the 2016 presidential election is patriotic while calling into question the validity of the 2020 presidential election is treasonous. The good old days of just five short years ago sure do make us nostalgic for Mayberry. Trouble is, we now must decide, how are we to respond with what we now know?Sigh.

Letter to WalzThis was written to King Walz and hand delivered by Erik MortensenHere I sit at 1:47am on Friday February 19th 2021, typing because I am not only exhausted and hoping this letter will make some change happen ( NOT), but I am writing because I am a parent asking how you can sleep at night knowing that as a parent and so called former educator that understands and gets how important development and education for children is, how you think it is ok to continue to keep things in our state shut down and restricted because of a virus.Since March 16th of 2020 my child who was 3 at the time lost in one week critical services because of developmental and otherwise needed services. You see for my child and many others that were already suffering to succeed in a normal day to day life now are having an even harder time. You don’t seem to care nor get that.My child receives private speech therapy 2 times a week, occupational therapy 1 time a week, attends special Education preschool was at the time 2 days a week last school year (19-20) and was receiving speech both days as well as emotional and behavioral support. To know receiving this school year (20-21) special education services 3 days a week Still receiving all the same services. When COVID first happened and she was pulled out of everything speech therapy 2x a week, occupational therapy 1x a week, dance 1x a week (helps in her learning speech), seeing my parents 3-4x a week, seeing her GG (Great Grandma) 1-2x a week, freedom/ family time outside the house ( Crucial to her development as a child and especially for a child consider to have special needs. For the first 4 months my child at the age of 3 (4 in August 2020) was saying phrasing in these wordsI am sorry I won’t do again!I am sorry what did I do!Mama I need my GG (great grandma)! Please I go see Mamma( grandma) and Poppa ( grandpa). My poppa need me!I need go see my Katie ,Tate( private speech Therapists)I wont be bad anymore I sorry!Mama you and dada mad me?Why my school not feel good, my teachers need me!These are phases no normal child should ever have to ask themselves unless in an unsafe situation! You as a parent and past educator should know this. Yet things are still shut down. When distance learning took place my child did not and does not learn this way, even though receiving services for special education funded BY THE SATE still could not go to school because she was not in an total special education classroom because we opted to have her from the start in a normal classroom setting with children that did not have IEPS, or need special services. (THIS IS WRONG IN MY OPTION) all schools should have been allowed to continue to get the education all children deserve.Fast forward to October 2020 my child is now 4years old and still having issues saying the same thingsI am sorry I won’t do again!I am sorry what did I do!Mama I need my GG!Please I go see Mamma( grandma) and Poppa ( grandpa). My poppa need me!I need go see my Katie , and Tate( private speech Therapists)I wont be bad anymore I sorry!Mama you and dada mad me?Why my school not feel good, my teachers need me!My child is at the age of 4 and STILL does not know what trick or treating is because again you have decided that is best not to allow this. The reason we did not take her when she was three is because my child was very ill with pneumonia. Her first Halloween was not an option as she has RSV, her second Halloween did not happen because it was to cold out and with her having RSV right before her 1st Christmas/ for her first Christmas we were not going to chance it.Her 3rd Halloween she was not talking and did not understand the concept of what it was and was sick as stated above. Now for her 4th Halloween we figured she understands it now and can actual speak a bit more BECAUSE OF THE SPEECH THERAPY SERVICES SHE RECIEVES for her diagnosed Apraxia of Speech disorder and shes healthy. Due to COVID this is did not happen and she again reverted back to the…I am sorry I won’t do again!I am sorry what did I do!She is not sleeping like a normal child should. You and I both now that for the NORMAL child to grow and develop at this age they should be getting 12-14 hours a sleep in a 24 hour period. Guess how many my child is getting since COVID started ( you will get it wrong ) 4-6 hours in a 24 hours period, yes 4-6 hours and that is not consistent that is restless nights and if we are lucky 30-45 min naps during the day all brought on by COVID. She wakes in the middle of the night screaming/crying.DON’T LEAVE ME!You have to stay with me.Please I will be good.My gg (great grandma) does not love me.Again things a child should not have to worry about. She also since COVID is not eating like she should. We get maybe 2 meals in her a day.She has just the end of 2020 beginning of 2021 been diagnosed with are you ready for this ANXIETY and signs of PTSD, yes you read that right ANXIETY and signs of PTSD brought on by COVID. SHE IS 4YRS OLD!Ask yourself is the safety of all people worth the mental health issues that some people will have for the rest of their lives because YOU THINK it is best to shut down EVERYTHING.At this point I do not think it is safe nor responsible. The mental health of people ECPECIALLY the youngest of the people far out weights this Virus.Because my child is struggling HUGHLY with COVID issues as her parents we feel as though we are failing her. To thrive and be successful she needs to be able to just be a kid, she needs to be able to see her family ( this should be our decision to take her to see her GG (Great Grandma) before it is too late (her gg is 92). These decisions and so much more and not yours to make it is ours as her parents for make based on what we think is best for our child. My child now has to live with Anxiety and trauma because you think you now what is best for her and everyone else in this state.I am sorry Governor but you are wrong so wrong on this.I will see to it as her parent I will not stop fighting for her and see to it that she gets what she needs out of life.People need their lives back and you don’t seem to care!People need to be able to FREELY go out with family not feel like a prisoner in their own state.People need to be able to enjoy family time as they would like, without having to make reservations for EVERYTHING they want to do.People need to have the FREEDOM to go out and explore how they used too.People need to know that they are safe and can see their loved ones when THEY CHOOSE TOO, not when you tell them they can.So I ask you Governor Walz is it still best to keep things shut down knowing you are out right causing DAMAGE to the LITTLEST OF RESIDENTS in the state, not only mentally but developmentally. You and I both know there are laws against harming children and you governor or doing just that you are harming not only the children in this state but everyone around you by not opening everything back up.I HOPE YOU ARE PROUD OF YOURSELF!”

Pipeline lies from the left say it’s all about the environment. Really?

The Keystone pipeline upon completion would carry more than 800,000 barrels or 33.6 million gallons of oil through the pipeline per day. With no harmful emissions.

A Barrel of Oil is 42 gallons, not to be confused with a Drum which is 55 gallons. Because a gallon of oil weighs between 7.5 and 7,8 lbs per gallon, most trucks can’t carry but up to 130 barrels of oil at a time without violating our department of transportation laws of 80,000 lbs. on our roadways.

That’s truck and cargo weight, It would take 6,154 more trucks going just from Canada to the Gulf Coast for that same oil and that’s every single day. Now a rail car holds approx. 30,000 gallons or 700 barrels. It would take trains every day pulling 1,143 more rail cars per day. just pulling the oil from that pipeline from Canada to the Gulf Coast. Trains and Trucks emitting more emissions and burning more fuel that would be eliminated by the pipeline.

So, when they tell you this is about the environment, it is not, that would be a lie. Just thought you should know.

What the HELL is this about?

The world is unraveling before our very eyes.

What the HELL is this and when did it happen? Is this part of our cold wave? Is it from another time last summer? I don’t know but what I will say is that I’m NOT pleased.

Gnome got robbed again. Police watched and the Mayor, Governor have NOTHING TO SAY

First they came.

Anyone remember this poem from famed philosopher Friedrich Gustav Emil Martin Niemöller?

If you don’t, I suggest you research it immediately. we are living it right now.

Today I was in public and speaking about the tyrannical socialist/communist state of Minnesota and everyone wanted me to shut up, wear my diaper on my face, pretend that their fantasies were facts and do as the government says.

I was adopted out of an orphanage by a German woman and her Irish husband

Both told me history repeats itself when ignorance dominates the conversation.

What do we see today? The social media giants who were the social pariah in high school are now controlling what you see, hear and allowed to say.

If you believe I’m lying take your phone, turn it on and put it in front of an older computer camera.

You will see a red light flashing on the left of center on iPhones anyway, then your phone will shut off.

Speak about a topic and then after 5 minutes Google it. I bet no more than three letters typed when ll get you what you were talking about.

George Orwell wrote 1984 decades earlier and not surprisingly, the liberals used it as a guideline to seize control.

Republicans disguised as conservatives RHINOS, are just as guilty. Until we as a group stand up to them we will end up in a similar situation as Germany so many years ago.

Remember, evil only exists when good men….do NOTHING!

You saw Trump

I still love my democrat friends and family but, you see it your way and I see it mine.

You saw Trump’s arrogance, I saw Trump’s confidence.

You saw Trump’s nationalism, I saw Trump’s patriotism.

You heard Trump’s unsophisticated words, I heard Trump’s honesty.

You saw Trump’s racism, I saw Trump’s words being misconstrued and twisted by the media daily to fit their narrative.

You saw Trump as a Republican, I saw Trump as a Patriot.

You saw Trump as a dictator, I saw Trump as a leader.

You saw Trump as an Authoritarian, I saw Trump as the only one willing to fight for our freedoms.

You saw Trump as childish, I saw Trump as a fighter, unwilling to cave to lies.

You saw Trump as an unpolished politician, I saw Trump as a breath of fresh air.

You believe Trump hates immigrants, I know Trump married an immigrant.

You saw Trump putting an end to immigration in America, I saw Trump welcoming immigrants to America LEGALLY.

You saw Trump’s cages at the border, I saw Obama’s cages at the border.

You saw Trump with a struggling economy, I saw Trump with an amazing economy until Democrats shut it down.

You saw violence in the streets and called it “Trump’s America”, I saw violence in the streets of Democrat-run cities who refused Trump’s help and who called the violence “Liberal America.”

You wanted someone more “Presidential”, I’m happy we had someone who finally didn’t just talk the talk but actually walked the walk. You and I? We see things very differently.

People are FINISHED with this two tiered criminal system

(Friday Market Close) You could argue that the market spooked itself this week.

Now it wasn’t as if there weren’t external reasons for the downturn. Between worries about slow vaccine rollout, weak European economic data, the appearance of the South African variant of the virus here, and a few disappointing earnings reports, it’s easy to find a fundamental story to blame.

Still, it feels like the selloff, which accelerated Friday as the S&P 500 Index (SPX) fell nearly 2%, was more of a reaction to internal market developments. Anyone who’s paid attention knows about all the focus on short squeezesthat brought fame (and some fortune) to stocks like GameStop (GME) and AMC Entertainment (AMC). There’ve been disruptions all over the world, and now the stock market is feeling some disruption and a change of tone. The short squeezes certainly had a lot to do with it. The way people interact with the market is a little different than in the past.

There’s also a sense that things in general had come too far, too fast, sending values too high and leading to calls for a little consolidation. Basically, the four main stock indices had rolled along full steam ahead with hardly a break since early November, and that made some people nervous, especially about valuations. The short squeezes seemed to reinforce some investors’ beliefs that it was time for a little profit taking.

It’s a storm of a lot of things coming together that’s leading to a disruption in the market overall. These kinds of disruptions occur every 10 or 12 years and the market has always survived them. People are reassessing their portfolios. Not just individuals, but funds, too. There’s a reassessment of value everywhere.

Some of the major stocks leading the downward charge Friday included all the “FAANGs” along with Microsoft (MSFT). Apple(AAPL)—which often has an outsized impact on the overall market due to its huge valuation—is down 8.5% since reaching an all-time high early this week. That’s despite a stellar earnings report. That’s the kind of thing that makes you wonder if we’re seeing some good old-fashioned profit taking.

From a sector standpoint, it looks like a few of the ones that had been doing best on the recent rally have fallen the hardest, including Energy, Info Tech, and Financials. The so-called “defensive” sectors, including Utilities and Health Care, did best on Friday.

Bumpy Ride Not Out of the Ordinary

It never feels good to lose money in the market, but it should feel familiar. Major indices generally experience several 5% drops each year and usually at least one 10% decline. The SPX hadn’t had any sort of serious backtracking since September when it fell around 9.6% from its highs. Then it went on a tear, chalking up gains of nearly 18% from the end of October up to its all-time highs earlier this month.

Gains were even heavier for the small-cap Russell 2000 Index (RUT), which entered this week trading at about 1.37 times its 200-day moving average, the highest it’s been relative to the 200-day since at least 2000. Hopes for further fiscal stimulus, the Fed’s dovish monetary policy (which it again promised this week to keep that way for the long term), and vaccine progress all helped electrify Wall Street between November and January.

Now it feels like maybe things got a little ahead of themselves, considering all the challenges we still face. Europe is running low on vaccines. The U.S. rollout has been slower than expected. The Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) vaccine data today looked OK, but not amazing, and none of the vaccines seem to be as effective against this South African variant that has medical experts sounding nervous. Gross domestic product (GDP) growth in Q4 wasn’t quite as good as some people had hoped and moderated from the breakneck pace of Q3.

Combine all that with earnings from Facebook (FB) and Tesla (TSLA) that didn’t blow anyone out of the water, cruise lines once again pushing back their schedules, a bond market that showed new life, rising volatility, and an SPX valuation at historic highs, and it would have been kind of weird not to have some weakness in stocks.

Key Levels to Watch Include 30,000 in $DJI and 3700 in SPX

Despite this disappointing end to the week, try to keep things in perspective. The SPX is still up 13.5% in the last three months, and remains around 3.5% below this month’s all-time highs. If a market correction is defined as a 10% decline from the high, we’re not even halfway there yet. That might feel reassuring in one sense, but it should also mean caution. There could be more weakness ahead if this downturn is going to become a correction, which can’t be ruled out.

The argument against that is there just hasn’t been a lot of interest among investors to really push the market down over the last few months. Every time the SPX dropped to its 20-day moving average since Nov. 1, it met new buyers in what became called a “buy the dip” trade.

This week the SPX actually did fall below the 20-day and then tested the 50-day moving average, which was 3715 heading into Friday (see chart below). The question heading into next week is whether any technical support in that area holds, or if selling picks up. Longer-term technical support is in a range between 3633 and 3695, according to research firm CFRA. This is where the “buy the dip” crowd meets a test: Will they still want to buy the dip after the main crunch of earnings season ends and the world continues to stumble trying to fight the pandemic?

The two big numbers to watch could be 30,000 in the Dow Jones Industrial Average ($DJI) and 3700 in the SPX. The two indices flirted with those levels late Friday, and the $DJI ultimately closed just below 30,000. If it hops back above there Monday and manages to hold on, that would probably be seen as a technical victory that could promise a little recovery ahead.

It’s kind of interesting that all this happened at a time when you could point to some actual positive developments in the background. Microsoft (MSFT) and Apple (AAPL) both reported earnings that are about as solid as it gets and next week brings Alphabet (GOOGL)and Amazon (AMZN). Other big names penciled into the earnings lineup next week include PayPal (PYPL), Alibaba (BABA), UPS(UPS), and Peloton (PTON). We’ll talk more about those reports and what to look for in them on Monday morning

As these companies report, stimulus traction appears to be growing on Capitol Hill. Media coverage this week suggested Democrats might try to speed the $1.9 trillion legislation through Congress through reconciliation, which wouldn’t necessarily require Republican votes. Whatever you might think of the legislation itself, stimulus generally appears to have helped the stock market over the last few months. Next week we’ll see if it elbows its way back into the headlines in a big way, which has potential to be a helpful force for the market.

Volatility Explosion Could Keep Investors Cautious

What’s not helpful is the way volatility just exploded this week. On one day, the Cboe Volatility Index (VIX) skyrocketed to 37 from below 22. This isn’t something you often see, and overall the VIX had its biggest upside week since June.

Historically, VIX—sometimes called the market’s “fear index”—trades in ranges over periods of time. It spent a lot of time last fall between 25 and 30, and then early this year between 20 and 25. Now it’s back above 30, and that could indicate more concern about possible choppiness and deeper losses straight ahead. One interesting thing now vs. a week ago, however, is that VIX futures have gone from contango (where outer months are higher than the current level) to backwardation, where the current level outweighs future prices.

It was also positive to see the major indices bounce off of their lows late in Friday’s session, which could have positive ramifications as the new week starts. The SPX at one point on Friday dipped just below 3700, but didn’t seem to find much selling interest down there. One hallmark of last year’s steep selloff was failure to find buyers late on Fridays who were comfortable holding long positions into the weekend. This sometimes caused late-week selloffs to gain steam. That didn’t appear to be the case Friday, which isn’t a bad thing if you’re hoping for better times ahead.

Earnings, stimulus, and vaccination progress all remain key areas to watch as the new week begins. Also, consider closely checking futures market action Sunday night for possible clues about how Monday could open.

Despite Headlines, Vaccine Progress Appears Confirmed this Week

One more thing: JNJ’s vaccine data today took some of the blame for the market weakness, but most analysts didn’t think the data was actually all that disappointing. As they said, it appears to be more effective than the flu vaccine we all get each fall, and it also seemed effective in preventing severe COVID-19 cases.

The data showed it wasn’t as effective as thePfizer (PFE)/BioNTech (BNTX) and Moderna(MRNA) vaccines already on the market, but few experts had expected that. JNJ was upbeat about the data and analysts said it’s expected to seek quick regulatory approval. Logistically, the JNJ vaccine has a bunch of advantages because it’s a single-injection product that can be stored at much higher temperatures than products made by the other companies.

There was also positive vaccine data from Novavax (NVAX) this week, and its shares jumped more than 60% on Friday. The company is considering filing for U.S. approval, news reports said. Which means in a best-case scenario, the U.S. might soon have four vaccines on the market actively fighting against this horrible pandemic. The U.S. government agreed last year to buy 100 million doses of JNJ’s vaccine.

So maybe those are some things to keep in mind if you’re feeling depressed about how this week turned out.

An Hour After Joe Biden Is Sworn In, WHO Admits Their Testing Grossly Overstates Individuals Testing Positive for COVID

Surprise, Surprise – Literally one hour after Biden was sworn in, the World Health Organization admitted that PCR testing produces  high amplification rates and results and a huge number of false positives.

The WHO released a report today saying that their COVID testing overstates the number of false positives:

There are so many problems with the reporting, projections and protocol related to COVID, how can these entities ever be trusted again?

The armed people are there because we were attacked in a coordinated effort by the Governor ordering the State Patrol to bring in ANTIFA (an organization his daughter was tweeting instructions to during the riots in Minneapolis) which injured multiple people and they watch as this group of liberal brown shirt thugs damaged around 15 vehicles.

Governor I call you out at a LIAR!

Walz Grossly misrepresents protesters in order to gain more control over anyone that has an opinion that differs from his lordship.
